Permalink Data on Flickr.Via Flickr: two weeks ago I was confronted with my data in a hard way. My large storage device “Drobo” refused to operate after I upgraded it with another 2TB drive. The drive became unresponsive and after a while it did came back giving me the opportunity to retrieve some data…since this was my largest storage device I had to make sacrifices to the data I could retrieve, so I had to delete all my movies, series and software I had collected over the years. Luckily I did manage to backup my photography work. That same week my laptop died and it has been sent back to Apple for repairs. Fortunatly I do hold regular backup sessions, but it’s still a hassle and I’m once again aware that all data is fleeting, and no storage medium is safe from harm. Photo’s can burn, disk drives will fail…it’s time holographic data crystals are made…at least they seem stable enough….

It was a wonderful week and we had lots of fun, I had and gave a great workshop AND I finally found myself a bowler hat that fit perfectly on my head. Permalink 94.2012 against the grey on Flickr.Via Flickr: I was hanging up a new window blind this afternoon, when I noticed that it was actually the perfect type of grey, and it rolls out. Instant cheap background!! Too bad I would need to move the cabinet to use it as such… But I did take the chance to use it for a shoot before I put everything back. This is actually a test shot, before I got all dressed up for my initial idea, but I liked the look and just had to give a go at processing it. I loved how it turned out. I’ll save the other shot for later, as it does look awesome too…

Permalink Gentleman Fury on Flickr.Via Flickr: Received my awesome Mumford & Sons Lion Track-Jacket yesterday and just loving it!!! Had a great day today, went to Amsterdam to visit the Apple store to have my iPhone checked, fearing it would have to be repaired and I’d lose it for a few weeks. But nothing of the sort. They found a hardware defect and I just got a new one, just like that…so happy my buttons work again and how the service was!! have a great weekend everyone!
